Fear & Gratitude

Fear is something that is offered to us as a lesson. When we learn to work through it, we find it makes us much stronger.

It is all about the energy of the fear and how we use it. When you concentrate on the fear, the energy that is created only reinforces that fear and makes it greater. However, when you look at what your fear is, face it and turn it around, you change the type of energy that is created.

For example: if you are afraid of being homeless, start being and feeling grateful for what you do have. Using affirmations can help ~ "I am grateful for the safety and comfort of my home." "I am well provided for." "I am safe and secure." "I am safe and nurtured." "I am blessed in my surroundings."

Affirmations create positive energy which, in turn, creates good things around you and your loved ones. Being and feeling grateful for what you have, brings you more. Fear and Gratitude cannot exist together.

Happy Holidays!

I will be taking some time off to spend with my family over the holiday season, between 21st December & 4th January. Orders can still be placed through the Charms Of Light website during this time, however appointments will not be scheduled and packages will not be posted until after these dates.

Personal Energy

Have you ever noticed how the energy around you changes when your normal living space has to accommodate more than usual? When everything is in the right place and everyone is happy and healthy, the energy flows smoothly and the environment is a joyous one.

For the last 9 weeks, my own household has been turned upside down with renovations to the dining room, kitchen and laundry. We moved all our dining furniture into the living room and set up a mini kitchen in the corner of the living room, consisting of no more than a microwave, kettle and toaster. Our washing machine was placed into the downstairs loo, the tumble dryer in one of the upstairs rooms and the clothes hanging rack in the family bathroom. We do all our washing up, by hand, in the family bathroom sink! Surprisingly, I've managed to continue working in my home office whilst cleansing the household energy, to keep things harmonious.

Until......

About one month into the disruption, I fell up the stairs (yes, you read that right, I fell UP the stairs) whilst taking up some dishes that needed cleaning. I experienced a huge bump and bruising on the lower part of my shin, that still hasn't completely healed. Since then, I have also suffered from colds and a sore throat. However, just yesterday, the muscles in my back seized up completely.

I've finally realised that all the energy I've been putting into my work, my family, and the general feeling of our living environment has been taking its toll on me. All the distractions and lack of general flow have had a huge impact on my personal energy. I have been completely neglecting my own well-being whilst attempting to hold everyone else's together.

You'd think I'd be an expert on this, considering it is what I teach others, but I guess its something we keep on learning. Well, from now on, I have no choice but to take more time for myself and my personal energy needs. Unfortunately, this does mean that some of my work will need to wait until I can confidently give the love and attention it deserves again. I do hope that my clients, students and customers understand.

Angelic Connections

Do you really listen to the guidance your angels give you?

The last few days, I've been having terrible problems with my internet connection. It has mostly been unavailable and when it has worked, it's been intermittent at best. During this past week, I had planned to update my new-look website (which I'd been working on for a good couple of months), write some blogs, and do some preparation for a radio interview that I'll be doing tonight. All this whilst having builders in to demolish my kitchen and rebuild.

Concentrating on writing whilst hammering was going on, hasn't worked as well as I'd hoped and I couldn't write in the evenings as most of my coaching and reading appointments had to be done then. Besides, without the internet I couldn't upload the blogs anyway. Also, I suddenly realised that without the internet, Skype (which is how the interview is going to be held) wasn't going to work either. Even right up to approx. 2 hours before writing this, the internet had disappeared again for me, yet surprisingly, I've been quite calm and finishing all my custom orders, amongst other things, instead.

Yesterday and today, I had specific Angel numbers appear to me in order, as follows:

111 ~ "An energetic gateway has opened for you, rapidly manifesting your thoughts into reality. Choose your thoughts wisely at this time, ensuring that they match your desires. Don't put any energy into thinking about fears at all, lest you manifest them."

222 ~ "Have faith. Everything's going to be all right. Don't worry about anything, as this situation is resolving itself beautifully for everyone involved."

333 ~ "You've merged with the ascended masters, and they're working with you day and night -- on many levels. They love, guide, and protect you in all ways."

444 ~ "Thousands of angels surround you at this moment, loving and supporting you. You have a very strong and clear connection with the angelic realm, and are an Earth angel yourself. You have nothing to fear -- all is well."

After seeing 444 this afternoon and realising what it meant, I went outside and listened very carefully to the extra message I knew that was coming. The angels jokingly told me to "wing it" on the radio show tonight and to just be myself. I don't need to prepare for it and that my connection with them is better than any internet connection I'll ever need!

I am so grateful for this beautiful angelic connection. They keep me going and remind me to stay in the flow at all times.

During these last couple of months of fast and furious energy surges, I feel completely spun dry. The clearing has been immense and now, as the changes become integrated, I am going through phases of uncertainty and even confusion.

I do know that I am here to help others, but I have also learnt how important it is to help myself too. The more I nourish, love and respect myself - the more that I can do for someone else. So, as all these changes settle in and become one with me, I honour my body, mind and spirit with:

New Policy on Custom Jewellery Orders

Up until now, I have tried not to request deposits for all custom orders. Unfortunately, I now have to change this policy and request a non-refundable deposit, or full payment up front, on all custom made healing jewellery.

Price quotes on custom orders remain valid for 7 days from the quote being given. A non-refundable deposit, or full payment, will be required within this time. After 7 days, I may have used up the supplies needed for your order and will have to obtain new stock. If the prices have risen, this will mean that a new quote will have to be issued. Once a custom order has been created to the customers' satisfaction, the remainder of the deposit must be made within 7 days or the custom item may be added to the website for sale to the public.

It takes time, effort and expense when designing special healing pieces and when someone changes their mind I am left with something that was created for that person which often cannot be sold to anyone else. Even if I take it apart to create something new, there are many pieces that cannot be reused. Not to mention the time and energy that has already been spent and which could have been given to someone else.

Realisations...

Sometimes it can be a simple little conversation that suddenly makes you understand something that had you wondering for a while.......

Yesterday, I had a very distinct 'visit' from my grandmother's long gone dog, Sheena. Today, I was talking to my grandmother on the phone and asked her if she remembered Sheena. She laughed and said that it was funny that I mention Sheena, because she had been thinking about her the last couple of days.

My grandmother is 92 and lives in Australia, while I live in the UK. We had a lovely chat, as we always do, but this time our conversation was based upon spirituality and clairvoyance, because of our individual Sheena experiences. She asked me about my business and I told her about my latest experiences and she wanted to know more. We spoke about who was with us in spirit and she made the comment about not feeling my mother's (her daughter's) spirit so strongly. I told her that I had the same feeling and then it came to me strongly and clearly just why this was the case.

Without giving too much detail, my mother passed away at the time of 9/11. She knew she was dying and was completely ready and prepared to go at the time. Many others at that time, weren't so prepared and my mother was given a role in the spirit world of helping other souls settle in and understand where they were.

Mum and I always used to joke that we should work in the same business some day. Well, now I realise that we have been, since her passing. She, as an angel of spirit, helps souls in the spirit world to understand and accept where they have gone and I help those here to accept who they are and where they are going. I knew that there must have been a reason why we weren't as aware of her as we would have liked and it is because her job is important and I know she will be taking it very seriously, with love and understanding, as this is just how she was on the physical plane too ~ always there for those who needed her.

Synchronicity

I've been experiencing many little moments that when I stop to look at them all, I can see just how beautifully every one of them have come together to bring me to where I am.

Without going into too much detail, below are just a very few things that have happened to me in the last few weeks, in order of their occurrences:

I was guided to develop a healing attunement that would help with self-love and forgiveness ~ the, Self Love & Forgiveness Healing Attunement.
I was 'visited' by a spirit who gave me a very clear image of his face.
One of my students was guided to give me two books. (These books are not available in the UK, therefore I was not going to come across them in a bookshop).
I was visited by some Higher beings from a very ancient time. The message from them was to "keep loving" and to continue to show others that it is important for everyone to do the same.
I started reading the first of my new books (see 3.) which has a lot of information from someone who was visited by an Ascended Master and other Higher beings from ancient times. One of the main messages in this book is "Love for oneself and others".
I have realised that the spirit who visited me (see 2.) was the same Ascended Master in the book I am reading.

As mentioned, these are just a few of the synchronicities in my life right now. All I can say is, when living in the flow, you can't help but come across synchronicity in it's highest form and I am most grateful to be able to recognise it for what it is.

Strawberry Quartz

I always find it fascinating how we are drawn to certain gemstones at particular times in our lives. It happens to me whenever I get a creative urge with my jewellery making too.

In the last few months, as I've accepted and opened to new gifts that have been awakened in me, I have also found myself getting busier and busier in my work and family life. Recently I booked some "me time" to make sure I get some self-nurturing, away from my busy schedule. Usually, when I am planning to be away, I book as many appointments as possible before I go, therefore making myself so exhausted that I am often too tired to enjoy my break. This week, however, I have found myself drawn to creating some new jewellery with the gentle, loving and nurturing Strawberry Quartz gemstone.

Not only have I remained loving and calm as I wind up before going away, but I am now in a better position to gain the full benefit of the "me time" I will be getting next week. Oh, and as a bonus, there is now some new Strawberry Quartz Jewellery on the website!

Going with the flow ... Part 2

On this journey we call life, we get to choose the direction that our paths can take us.... either push forward, planning on what we want and how we want to do it, or go with the tide and use each ebb and flow to create the life we desire.

Thankfully, I've learned to go with the tide, and flow with what comes my way. Because of this, I have naturally opened up to more of my gifts that were hiding away for so many years, when I tried to do things like everyone else, or how I thought I was expected to do them.

I have now been brought to a point where I have been asked (well..... 'guided' actually) to add another service to Charms Of Light. I love what I do and sometimes wonder how much more I can possibly add, but while that guidance is still there, I am going with it! :)

Over the next couple of weeks, I will be thinking carefully about how to add this new service in a way that I can help the most people. For some of this time, I will be going away somewhere secluded so that I can be uninterrupted in my thoughts. This is an exciting time and I look forward to what is coming.

Charms Of Light: Going with the flow ... Part 1

I love gemstones. Working with them to create healing jewellery is something I have enjoyed for many years and I am always learning new things about them.

When you browse the Charms Of Light website, you will see that I write about the Healing Properties of Gemstones. I tend to stick to the gemstones that are used in my healing jewellery, although sometimes, when asked, I do try to include others too. Of course, writing about the stones that I use also means having to know what stones I am using. Over time I have learnt which ones are which, but there can sometimes be a little confusion. Recently I discovered that Rainbow Moonstone is not Moonstone at all, but Labradorite in a white matrix.

Depending on where you purchase your gemstones from, you will find different names given to them. For example, when I lived in Asia and purchased "Indian Bloodstone", it was in fact "Fancy Jasper". This wasn't because they were trying to trick me, it was just that they called it a different name.

There are many gemstones on the market with a variety of different trade names. Some of these are genuine mistakes, but unfortunately some names have been changed to make the stones seem something they are not, so you do need to be very careful. I found two different suppliers in the UK who are selling Larvikite as Labradorite. Luckily I received some lovely quality stones that I was able to use as Larvikite Jewellery, but even though I subsequently told the suppliers that they made a mistake, they haven’t changed the name and are still selling their Larvikite to unsuspecting customers as Labradorite. This very often happens with Sodalite being sold as Lapis Lazuli, Smokey Quartz being sold as Topaz, and many others.

Many will say that as long as you like the look of your gemstones, get pleasure from wearing or using them, and haven't paid a premium price for something that they are not, then it doesn't really matter what type of gemstones they are. I agree with this up to a point, especially as there are healing properties in all stones. However, if you are looking for a specific gemstone for a specific meaning, please make sure you purchase from somewhere or someone you trust.

Self Love & Forgiveness Healing Attunement

Just a few week's ago, I was taking part in a beautiful distant healing session when, during the session, I was approached by the Ascended Master, Quan Yin. She told me that many people are learning to accept others, yet forgetting to accept themselves in love. I was requested to develop a healing attunement that would help people with self-love & forgiveness.

Everything happened rather quickly and within about a week, I had developed a new healing attunement called, "Self Love & Forgiveness Healing". Firstly, I wanted to test the treatment on some willing 'guinea pigs', so asked around on my Facebook page and on Twitter if anyone would be interested in trying it out. Expecting maybe 10-12 people, I was quite surprised at having 50 volunteers, from many different countries, when the time came for the healing energy to be sent out.

Feedback for the healing session has been fantastic and I am now very happy to offer the "Self Love & Forgiviness Healing" Attunement as the newest addition to the attunements available at Charms Of Light. This lovely attunement will give you the tools you need to call in the energy for yourself and to pass it on to others.

Living My Truth

There's something really wonderful about living your truth. You see everything through different eyes, through your heart .... in fact, you can't help but to see everything with Love.

A few days ago I was faced with a bit of an ugly situation, when someone expected something of me that I couldn't give and lashed out in writing. Probably, just a month ago, this would have caused me great upset and discomfort, however the awakening that I've experienced over these last few weeks has greatly helped me to see things in a different light. Naturally, I was taken aback when first reading what this person had written to me, however I understand that when people's expectations have not been met, they can become angry or lash out at the person involved. It is actually a cry for help and they don't really mean what they say or do. So, I breathed and centred myself, then sent love and light straight back to this person.

I have come a very long way and am most grateful to the support and guidance that is always with me.

The real me!

I don't know if it has been the energy of the moon lately, or just a build up of everything up to this last weekend, but I have now come to a point in my life where I feel everything is truly in it's right place and that I am calm and confident in who I am and in what I do.

I know that I have often stated, over time, that I am happy with who I am and in what I do, however this time it feels different. It's not that I wasn't being truthful at any other time because I really meant what I've said in the past, but now it's like I have more of a "knowing" that it just is!

Ever since I was a very young child, I've felt an expectation put upon me to do things a certain way, or act in a certain manner, etc etc, yet inside I knew that I was different and desperately needed to be understood .... to be me. I had my own thoughts and opinions, but wasn't being listened to ..... only ever told what to do. It's taken some years, but I've finally found the real "me" again and I have a wonderful loving family (husband and three children) who accept me and love me for being that person.

Be true to yourself! Follow your inner guidance always! Not only will you be happier for it, but you will find yourself surrounded by the people who want you to be that way!

Me time!

Sometimes spirit does things to make you slow down and listen.

A couple of weeks ago, I came down with a very sore throat. This sore throat quickly became a sinusy cold which wore me down to bed rest. I had been rather busy up until then and hadn't really spent as much "me time" as I should have and I just know that I had been slowed down for a reason.

Whilst in bed, I was aware of little tapping noises in my ears. They were just as if information was being typed directly into my consciousness but without me knowing the exact words. I am certain that I heard this tapping to make me "take note" as such, to still, not just my body but my thoughts also, and take in whatever it was that I needed to know.

During my time recovering it felt like I was on another plain completely, almost floating, to allow my mind and body to open up and take in the new.

Now, I am back, I feel like a new and much more grounded being and I will spend some "me time" every single day from now on.

Accepting "What Is"

Sometimes, when you spend too much time trying to analyse "why", it can take up the time that you should be appreciating the "what is".

When you look at "what is" and find the good within it, you will find that life is full of wonderful lessons for each and every one of us. There are blessings to be found in all situations and circumstances, if you choose to look for them .... sometimes you don't even have to look that hard .... just as long as you remain open to seeing them will you discover the joys that are there.

Whether it is having to move house, or live in a new country, or someone close to you losing their job, or even if suddenly you are able to see into the past life of someone ;-) ...... find and enjoy the new possibilities, and how they can be of help to yourself or others, without dwelling on why it all happened.

Sometimes it's less important to understand why than it is to just accept what is!

I Am a Lightworker!

Last month my son came home with an application to fill out for an upper class college summer school. Amongst the usual questions that he needed to complete were the occupations of his mother and father. Now, I don't really know what that has to do with my son's application to attend a summer school programme, but I do want to give him every chance of being accepted, so ......... what do I put down as my occupation?

Let's face it, I do a lot of things in my business and every one of them is just as important as the other. I put this question to some friends and got some interesting and varied suggestions, as follows:

Yes, I have some friends who like a bit of a joke, but when I really look at all these suggestions, maybe with the exception of Rocket Scientist and Wizard, they all fit the description of what I do and who I am. However, none of these screamed out and made me feel, "Yes, that's it!"

The other night I decided to meditate on the idea, when I "heard" the words, "You are a Lightworker!" Yes, I thought, I am! Then I happened to glance at the time and it was 11:11! I took that as confirmation and thought, yes, the message is clear. I AM a Lightworker. That IS my occupation. So that is what I put on my son's application and it is what I will put on all forms that ask my occupation from now on.

The Gift of Time

It was my birthday this month and my family had been asking what I wanted for a present. While I do generally love a nicely thought out gift, I really couldn't think of anything I wanted that could be purchased. What I really want is "Time" to go away on a couple of meditation-type retreats this year. I'm perfectly happy to pay for these retreats myself, it's just the time that I need to be able to do them. So, I told my kids that the best gift they could give me would be some "time out" for myself.

When my lovely daughter came home from school the other day, she came straight over to me with a big hug. She sat on my lap, with her arms still around me, and said, "Mum, do you remember when you said you wanted 'Time' for your birthday? Well, how would you like to go to High Wycombe (where there is a rather large shopping mall) next weekend and spend as much time as you like just shopping for clothes, with no interruptions from anyone else?" I thought for a moment, looking at her quizzically and wondering why she thought I would want to shop for clothes (this is definitely NOT my favourite past-time), then it dawned on me and I asked, "What do you want to do there?" She fessed up and said that she and a few friends wanted to go to the movies and needed a lift, but went on to remind me that it would also give me some time to myself wandering around the shops while waiting for the movie to finish!

We have both laughed about this, a few times now, and I can't help but love her for the way she thinks and can turn around all sorts of situations to work out for all concerned. It may not be a meditation retreat, but you know.... I may just enjoy spending some time with myself in a shopping mall next weekend! There must be a decent coffee shop somewhere and I do have a book I'd like to finish.......

The Secret Source of Spiritual Power

Reiki and "Intent"

Recently I was at a soccer match when one of the team members was injured quite badly and had to be carried off the pitch. I offered Reiki help to both the player and their father but the father didn't know what Reiki was. So while watching the swelling get bigger, I tried to explain as best I could. He gave me that slightly raised eyebrow look that I usually get from either the medical profession or complete non-believers, so I knew it was going to be tricky. However when his injured child said they wanted me to give them Reiki, he got up so I could get closer and let me do what I could, with the comment, "well, I guess it can't hurt!" It took a while for me to feel any energy flowing at all and every time I did feel it kick in it stopped almost immediately. It went on like this for a little while ..... start - stop - start - stop ..... but after some time I knew that the energy flow was being blocked.

Reiki flows with the love and intent of all concerned so, whilst I know how well it works, and the person I was giving the Reiki to knew a little about it and trusted it, the father did not have any belief at all. Unfortunately, his own "intent" that Reiki wouldn't work, prevented the energy from flowing.

This was my first case of a block in energy happening from someone other than the intended Reiki receiver. It was an uncomfortable feeling. To any other Reiki practitioners out there.... have you had this experience before?

New Year ... New Possibilities

Since the new year began, I have been filled with an intense excitement, like being thrown into a feeling of euphoria, thinking about the endless possibilities of what I can achieve. Things that I thought about doing "one day" suddenly feel like they will become reality before I've even begun them. I really believe that 2011 is going to be a magical year and am so happy to be able to go with the flow.

Many people I have spoken to have also been experiencing similar feelings of excitement and happiness, whilst others have been experiencing cold and flu symptoms. If you are in the latter category, don't despair. These symptoms are your body's way of getting rid of what no longer serves you. Once you are free of these things, you will have room to embrace the positive, magical feeling of this new year and what YOU can achieve!

What is really wonderful about this right now, is that so many people are experiencing the same feelings at the same time. With that much energy amongst us, 2011 can't help but be an incredible year for us all!

I'm strapping on my seatbelt, taking hold of the reins and am ready for the ride of my life!

Going with the flow ... Part 1

The other day, I was in the living room of someone else's house when I felt an overwhelming urge to clear and cleanse the energy of the room. Normally when I do something like this, I walk around the room, but this time I sat down on a chair in the corner. I felt completely anchored to the chair. If I'd wanted to get up, I could have, but for some reason it was important for me to stay where I was until the energy in the room had been completely changed. I realised that I was being used as a channel so sat there and made the most of it. As the energy cleared a message came through to me from a departed family member of one of the people who live in the house. It was strong and clear and I felt blessed to have been chosen to pass on the message.

I do believe that this experience is just one of many more to come and I am happily and lovingly going with the flow of the Universe, in acceptance that this is one of the things that I am here to do!

The Best Gifts...

I received wonderful gifts for Christmas this year. Two especially stand way ahead of any others. The first one, I gave to myself, and was "Time" which I spent with my family. I turned off my computer and shared the beauty of time and wonderful moments with my husband and children. Something that will now be beautiful memories for each of us.

The other wonderful gift was in the form of emails, comments, and other messages that were sent to me from people I have been blessed to meet through what I do. These messages of thanks were straight from the heart and made me feel so humbled. Knowing that I can help others is something I cherish. I love what I do. To have received so many beautiful words of thanks just makes it all so much more meaningful!

True Wealth

Wealth in today's society is most often interpreted as how rich someone is, but what does being rich really mean? Does having lots of money make you rich? According to Wikipedia, "Wealth is the abundance of valuable resources or material possessions or the control of such assets. An individual, community, region or country that possesses an abundance of such possessions or resources is known as wealthy."

Okay, so.... I guess that means that having lots of money does make you rich. However, does being rich make a happy person, happy communities, or happy countries? Possessing an abundance of material possessions is often a way of covering up a deeper need for something else. When you take away those possessions and realise that you are the same person without them, you can then start to appreciate other things in your life and discover what really makes you happy. What I describe as "True Wealth" then takes over and you become truly abundant.

Being rich isn't having everything you want... Being rich is being happy with everything you have! ♥

Being Grateful

When we can see the good things within our lives and be grateful for them instead of looking at the things that may cause us sorrow or pain, it causes an immediate attraction to more of the good. We find more things that bring us joy and more reasons to be grateful.

When all that we see are things that we don't like - that cause us pain or sorrow - the attraction is still there and we will bring more of the same to us.

To be grateful ALL ways, is to bring more abundance in ALL good things into our lives.

Believe

Are you disappointed when things don't work out even when you've been thinking that they probably wouldn't work out in the first place? Why be disappointed when the outcome is what you believed it to be? Surely you should be pleased that your belief turned out to be correct!

Try turning that around. Have the belief that what you want will work out just the way you want it to. Feel just how pleased you will be when you get the outcome you believe in this time!

Now try having that belief in yourself .... and be on your way to the best YOU that you can possibly imagine.

On dark, cloudy days are you one of those people who think, "If only the sun would shine!"? Well, even on the darkest days the sun does still shine. The only difference is that it is shining behind those clouds. Just the same for us, we all have a light inside that helps shine the way for ourselves and for others. Sometimes that light is very bright for all to see, and sometimes it may feel a little faded.

Let go, with Love!

At the beginning of this week I, very strongly, felt the need to let something go, to make way for new things that are coming. I thought it might have been something to do with the energies of the upcoming new moon and solar eclipse.

Then every day this week, I started coming across situations, or reading something, that have brought up memories from my past that made me feel upset. The feeling has been like being on a spin cycle .... going round and round but not getting anywhere.

There's been tears, anger, frustration, feelings of wanting to give up, but I have realised that all these things are being brought to my attention right now, because they are the very things I need to let go of. I had thought that these particular things had been released some time ago, but it has been amazing how easily they came back to me these past few days. I know that Divine intervention has placed certain memories in front of me, in different ways, to make me acknowledge the feelings, and release them, once and for all.

So, with a VERY deep breath ..... I sit quietly and take each memory one by one. I acknowledge how it makes me feel .... and I release it with love. I may not get immediate results, but if I take this approach gently and with love, I know I can move forward with joy.

You Can Achieve Anything!

This morning, I woke at 3:33am. I got out of bed and looked out the window towards the back of the house. I saw the beginnings of a beautiful sunrise, all red and orange below the dark sky, across the horizon. Then I looked out one of the front windows and saw the beautiful full moon. It was mesmorising, it felt like magic, to be seeing two such beautiful scenes. I found a spot in the middle of my room where I could see out both windows at the same time. I stood there, rooted to the ground, feeling extremely centred, basking in the energy that poured into me from both directions.

I was then given this message: "You can achieve anything you want!" I knew instantly that this message was not just meant for me, but it is also for me to pass on to you. You CAN achieve anything, you can be whoever you want to be, the only thing stopping you from achieving that is YOU. Look within and allow what's inside to come out. Feel the joy of being YOU! Live in that joy, really feel it, and you will find more of it in your life.

You Really Do Get What You Wish For!

We know about wishing for the things we want in life and we know that we should be careful about what we wish for. Here is just one reason why....

My daughter told me, from the start of this school term, when her PE class switched over to swimming once a week, that she didn't like swimming and that she wished that she didn't have to do it. Each week she's been looking for excuses not to do it and a couple of times there's been a reason for her not to. This last weekend however, she wished she could get out of swimming for the rest of the term.

At her soccer tournament on Sunday, she injured her wrist. Whilst sitting off for one of the games, she stated out loud that she hoped this meant that she couldn't do swimming the next day at school. Monday found us at A&E getting x-rays and discovering that her wrist was fractured.

Driving back from the hospital on Monday, with a temporary cast on my daughter's arm and an appointment to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon the next day, we had an interesting conversation..... She mentioned that she was happy about not being able to swim that day and I reminded her about being careful what she wishes for. She suddenly came to the realisation that her wish, made at the beginning of term, had been granted. She then sheepishly told me that at her soccer tournament, before she was injured, she had been talking with a couple of the other girls about plaster casts and that she had said how cool it would be to wear a brightly coloured one that everyone could sign.

Driving back from the hospital today, after seeing the surgeon, and with a new brightly coloured cast on my daughters' arm, we had an interesting conversation..... Yes, another reminder about being careful what you wish for!!

Reiki Treatment and the Medical Profession

My wish today is that it won't be much longer before we can take someone to the doctor, or hospital, and not be looked at with rolled eyes when we mention that we used Reiki on an injury.

My daughter is the goalie in her soccer team. The team played in an all-day tournament yesterday in which, during one of the 1st round matches, my daughter was injured whilst saving a goal. Her wrist was bent back and twisted and I immediately gave her Arnica, a Homeopathic remedy which excels at reducing swelling, bruising and pain. I also immediately treated her with Reiki. The rest of the afternoon was spent dosing on a little more Arnica, alongside the Reiki treatment, which worked so well together that she decided to rejoin the team after sitting out for just one match. The team almost made it to the finals but lost the semi-final after a penalty shootout decided the end result. At this stage my daughter said her wrist hurt a little but she was certainly not in bad pain and there was still no swelling or bruising. I carried on some more Reiki treatment and we decided to wait and see how the wrist felt in the morning.

This morning, still no swelling or bruising whatsoever, but there was a little pain on touching the wrist. I knew that the healing we did yesterday went a long way to having helped with the lack of swelling etc, but not being an expert on bones, we went to the A&E to get an x-ray just to make sure that all bases were covered. When we saw the first nurse, it was as if she didn't believe there was anything wrong because she couldn't see swelling or bruising and we admitted that no pain killers were necessary. I mentioned the treatment we had given the wrist and instantly received the rolled eyes and a look that told me she thought we were wasting her time. However, we were sent to x-ray & discovered that her wrist is not sprained but is fractured. Appointment with Orthopedic Surgeon, plaster cast on and various lectures about taking pain killers have been completed. My daughter and I just sat and nodded about the pain relief thing, both of us knowing that she doesn't need it and both of us knowing that it was easier to nod and agree than trying to explain that Reiki, and Arnica, have greatly helped to reduce the pain so much so that nothing else is needed!

I just want to say that, if I am happy to work hand in hand with the medical profession by doing as much as I can do, whilst knowing what my limits are and how much I need help with, then surely I'm not asking too much for them to acknowledge that same understanding.

My wish is that the medical profession are taught about the benefits of Reiki, Homeopathy & all other so-called "alternative therapies". When they see no signs of swelling or bruising in an injury, they will then understand how well these "alternatives" work and that these therapies are helping them to do their jobs even better. When we can work together for our loved ones and patients, it can only bring about a happier, more loving and healing atmosphere for us all. ♥

Attunement Experience ~ Colours of Angels

Whenever I give an attunement to someone, there is a special feeling of love and joy that I feel. It is a wonderful connection. The experience of receiving an attunement is generally never the same from person to person. So, I would like to share with you (with her permission), the experience of one of my students when she received her Colours of Angels attunement from me a couple of days ago.

From the beginning I felt the Archangels around me. I had wonderful feelings of peace, love and warmth. The connections were given individually...each time I saw the relevant colour and was also given the chakra it related to. I felt the ending of each connection with a big sigh/shudder that indicated the end of one and the start of another...until the end.

I was sitting on my sofa at home, but I was flying through space, with ease. I so wished I could stay there !!!!!!

This, Dear Caryl, is up there with the best of the Attunements I have ever had. I thank you for your continued support, wisdom and love.

I am sooo looking forward to enjoying the connections, especially today.

Walking Tall !

Today, on my daily walk to the post office, I noticed something. As I was walking along I felt much taller than usual. This was nothing to do with the shoes I was wearing as the heels were only 1/2 inch high. My shadow was behind me, as I was walking towards the sun, so it wasn't a shadow trick on my eyes..... this was very much a real "feeling".

As I walked, I thought about this feeling and realised that the last few days I have felt extremely happy, relaxed, confident. I like myself, I like being me! I've even been singing songs, like "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning!", "Walking on Sunshine" and "Top Of The World". These songs all have something in common which is they are "feel good" songs, full of positivity that pick you up and make you feel you can do anything.

Well, I am feeling just that. I'm walking tall, knowing that I can do anything, I am important, I am able, I am worthy, and I am happy to be me!

So walk tall my friends, know you are special and feel the difference!

Feelings of Ascension

Tiredness ♥ Irritability ♥ Depression ♥ Tears ♥ Wanting to run away from everything ♥ Wishing to be alone ♥ Wanting to give up ♥ Wanting to go home ~ yet not knowing where home really is.......

These are just some of the feelings that, I am not ashamed to admit, I am experiencing as I write this blog. I could sit in my corner and be miserable and alone for the next few days, or I can put these feelings to paper ~ or, in this case, my laptop ~ and share them with many others who I know are probably also experiencing them. I know you are out there and like me, you generally consider yourself as a happy, positive, successful, popular person, someone who others come to for advice. "Yes", you nod. "That's me!" you think. "So, why am I feeling like this?" you ask.

Well, I've written in the past about how energy can affect us in general, but this is different. This is our own personal energy, not the type that we use up by doing an aerobics workout, but the type that we are made up of. I want you to know that you are normal and these feelings are also normal and healthy and it's okay to experience them. What is most important is that you let them happen ~ ride through the discomfort ~ for they are a sign of bigger, better and much more wonderful things to come. They are just some of the symptoms of the Ascension process.

According to what I've read about the Ascension process, we are shedding what we no longer need in our lives in order to be prepared for something bigger. We are getting ready for our own "rebirth" if you like. Below is some information that might resonate with you. It is from Karen Bishop's "Emerging Earth Angels" website. I hope this helps you understand a little bit about what you might be experiencing...

Feeling as though you are in a pressure cooker or in intense energy; feeling stress. Remember, you are adjusting to a higher vibration and you will eventually adjust. Old patterns, behaviours and beliefs are also being pushed to the surface. There is a lot going on inside of you.
A feeling of disorientation; not knowing where you are; a loss of a sense of place. You are not in 3D anymore, as you have moved or in the process of moving into the higher realms.
Unusual aches and pains throughout different parts of your body. You are purifying and releasing blocked energy vibrating at 3D, while you are vibrating in a higher dimension.
Waking at night between 2 and 4 a.m. Much is going on in your dream state. You can't be there for long lengths of time and need a break. This is also the 'cleansing and releasing' hour.
Memory loss. A great abundance of short term memory loss and only vague remembrances of your past. You are in more than one dimension at a time, and going back and forth as part of the transition, you are experiencing a 'disconnect'. Also, your past is part of the Old, and the Old is forever gone. Being in the Now is the way of the New World.
'Seeing' and 'hearing' things. You are experiencing different dimensions as you transition, all according to how sensitive you are and how you are wired.
Loss of identity. You try to access the Old you, but it is no longer there. You may not know who you are looking at in the mirror. You have cleared much of your old patterns and are now embodying much more light and a simpler, more purified divine you. All is in order, You are okay.
Feeling 'out of body'. You may feel as though someone is talking, but it is not you. This is our natural defence mechanism of survival when we are under acute stress or feeling traumatized or out of control. Your body is going through a lot and you may not want to be in it. My ascension guide told me that this was a way of easing the transition process, and that I did not need to experience what my body was going through. This only lasted a short time. It passes.
Periods of deep sleeping. You are resting from all the acclimating and are integrating, as well as building up for the next phase.
Heightened sensitivities to your surroundings. Crowds, noise, foods, TV, other human voices and various other stimulations are barely tolerable. You also overwhelm very easily and become easily overstimulated. You are tuning up. Know that this will eventually pass.
You don't feel like doing anything. You are in a rest period, 'rebooting'. Your body knows what it needs. In addition, when you begin reaching the higher realms, 'doing' and 'making things happen' becomes obsolete as the New energies support the feminine of basking, receiving, creating, self-care and nurturing. Ask the Universe to 'bring' you what you want while you are enjoying yourself and having fun.
An intolerance for lower vibrational things of the 3D, reflected in conversations, attitudes, societal structures, healing modalities, etc. They literally make you feel 'sick' inside. You are in a higher vibration and your energies are no longer in alignment. You are being 'pushed, to move forward; to 'be' and create the New.
A loss of desire for food. Your body is adjusting to a new, higher state of being. Also, part of you does not want to be here anymore in the Old.
A sudden disappearance of friends, activities, habits, jobs and residences. You are evolving beyond what you used to be, and these people and surroundings no longer match your vibration. The New will soon arrive and feel so-o-o-o much better.
You absolutely cannot do certain things anymore. When you try to do your usual routine and activities, it feels downright awful. You are evolving beyond what you used to be, and these people and surroundings no longer match your vibration. The New will soon arrive and feel so-o-o-o much better.
Days of extreme fatigue. Your body is losing density and going through intense restructuring.
A need to eat often along with what feels like attacks of low blood sugar. Weight gain, especially in the abdominal area. A craving for protein. You are requiring an enormous amount of fuel for this ascension process. Weight gain with an inability to loose it no matter what you do is one of the most typical experiences. Trust that your body knows what it is doing.
Experiencing emotional ups and downs; weeping. Our emotions are our outlet for release, and we are releasing a lot.
A wanting to go Home, as if everything is over and you don't belong here anymore. We are returning to Source. Everything is over, but many of us are staying to experience and create the New World. Also, our old plans for coming have been completed.
Feeling you are going insane, or must be developing a mental illness of some sort. You are rapidly experiencing several dimensions and greatly opening. Much is available to you now. You are just not used to it. Your awareness has been heightened and your barriers are gone. This will pass and you will eventually feel very at Home like you have never felt before, as Home is now here.
Anxiety and panic. Your ego is losing much of itself and is afraid. Your system is also on overload. Things are happening to you that you may not understand. You are also losing behaviour patterns of a lower vibration that you developed for survival in 3D. This may make you feel vulnerable and powerless. These patterns and behaviours you are losing are not needed in the higher realms. This will pass and you will eventually feel so much love, safety and unity. Just wait.
Depression. The outer world may not be in alignment with the New, higher vibrational you. It doesn't feel so good out there. You are also releasing lower, darker energies and you are 'seeing' through them. Hang in there.
Vivid, wild and sometimes violent dreams. You are releasing many, many lifetimes of lower vibrational energy. Many are now reporting that they are experiencing beautiful dreams. Your dream state will eventually improve and you will enjoy it again. Some experience this releasing while awake. My mother commented one day that she believed I was having nightmares in the daytime.
Night sweats and hot flashes. Your body is 'heating' up as it burns off residue.
Your plans suddenly change in mid-stream and go in a completely different direction. Your soul is balancing out your energy. It usually feels great in this new direction, as your soul knows more than you do. It is breaking your 'rut' choices and vibration.
You have created a situation that seems like your worst nightmare, with many 'worst nightmare' aspects to it. Your soul is guiding you into 'stretching' into aspects of yourself where you were lacking, or into 'toning down' aspects where you had an overabundance. Your energy is just balancing itself. Finding your way to peace through this situation is the test you have set up for yourself. This is your journey, and your soul would not have set it up if you weren't ready. You are the one who finds your way out and you will. Looking back, you will have gratitude for the experience and be a different person.

Reiki Healing ~ Balance

Reiki is a loving energy that is channelled through the practitioner. It is not the practitioners' own energy that is being used.

Many years ago, when I started on my Reiki journey, I used to pour my heart and soul into a healing. It always left me completely wiped out afterwards and I didn't understand why. It took a little while to work out that I had been trying too hard and had been putting my own energy into the healing session therefore, completely depleting myself.

I have noticed lately, a number of articles, discussions, posts etc from Reiki practitioners who say they are feeling exhausted from doing too much healing. There are so many Reiki modalities available to us nowadays that I can't help but wonder if some practitioners are trying to learn too many new methods without giving themselves the time for cleansing that each new modality can bring about. Each new attunement can have the same affect as a healing, so you must allow some period of adjustment and rest while a cleansing takes place.

We already know that Reiki, in whatever form, is a wonderful form of energy that helps the body's ability to heal itself in mind, body & spirit. However, it is important to get back to the basics and remember to practice what you tell your clients. Give yourself time to rest, drink plenty of water, let your body cleanse itself of what needs releasing.

Get the balance right!

Remember ~ Reiki energy flows of it's own accord. So let it do it's work and if anything, you should feel more energised after a healing session because of the Universal energy that has been flowing through you.

Natural Disasters & Healing the Planet

I see natural disasters as being the same as dis-ease in our bodies. When our bodies are tired and stressed dis-ease occurs in the form of illness, colds, aches & pains etc. Surely it's the same for Mother Earth! Over time, the stress and strain that has been put upon this planet, by our human selves, must bring forth some kind of dis-ease within it. Earthquakes and volcanic eruptions, I believe, are Mother Nature's way of telling us that, "Enough is enough!"

We could all send out healing and love asking that the hotspots on this planet be stilled and calmed, but what about the healing that needs to happen. As I've said before, when healing dis-ease in our bodies, we need to acknowledge the problem and go with the flow, so the healing can take place properly. We mustn't fight it or try to stop it, as that just covers it up, making the dis-ease either worse, or encouraging it to come out in another form of dis-ease. The same should go with natural disasters.... instead of sending healing to try to stop them so everyone can carry on as usual, we should be changing the way we live, for the sake of future dis-ease on the planet which will affect us all more and more.

Just like anyone, I don't like to see people hurt and wouldn't wish disasters like these to happen, however I do think that we have to learn from them and start living our lives more thoughtfully for the sake of the future. As Earth Day approaches, let's give healing and love to Mother Earth by changing the way we do things to help her recover from the damage that's been caused for so long. If we all take just one small step, the impact of those small steps will go a long way towards healing our world.

I'm OK!

I've struggled through the last week with a very sore throat of the 3R variety ~ Red, Rough and Raw! Always looking at positivity and affirmations to help get through, I have been pushing on regardless. "I'm ok", I tell myself.

I know this is probably another cleansing going on because of some extra self-healing work I've been doing, but I've had work to do, so I've closed my mouth (as much as possible) and kept working. First though, I whisper to the kids to take a message if the phone rings. Lately, a lot of my work has been writing, or I've been creating in my workroom, so it's ok to keep going without a voice... right? Keeping a smile on my face has helped me get through ~ a little ~ but mostly that smile has let others think I'm better than I really am and therefore their own needs have still been put in front of me, without any regard for the fact that basically, "I'm NOT ok!"

As a Reiki teacher and practitioner, I tell my students and clients that the cleansing, often experienced after a healing, is a natural process that gets rid of toxins that are causing dis-ease. I let them know they should let it flow and not fight it or pretend it's not happening. Fighting only puts more awareness on what hurts, or makes us feel sad etc. and therefore makes the hurt worse, or the sadness even greater. Gently acknowledging it and letting it flow is allowing the healing process to start.

So earlier this afternoon I got this feeling that I should stop fighting this throat thing and stop covering it up with affirmations of, "I am well" etc, and stop pretending its not happening. Yes, I know, this is the advice I tell everyone else, but this time I was feeling the advice coming at me. About an hour after having this feeling I found out that one of my lovely Reiki students had sent me some Reiki healing. I just know it was this wonderful healing energy that was putting my mind in the right place to deal with my sore throat. You see, Reiki energy goes to where it is needed and in this case, I needed the right thoughts put into my head, to allow me to do what is needed for healing to take place.

I now acknowledge that my throat is sore and I will go with the flow of pain if it needs to get worse before getting better. I let myself relax in the knowledge that when I go with the natural flow of my body's needs, I'm OK!

Energy Shifts

A couple of weeks or so ago I felt on top of the world. Everything and everyone felt like love. The strength of the love I felt was so strong and I was pouring it into everything I did and it was pouring back into me.

The last few days however have been quite different. Although I still have that strong love & joy for life and others, I also feel like I've been tied up with a big strong piece of string, pulled up very tight and then thrown down and yanked back up again just like a yo-yo!

When the energies shift I really feel it, so I've always tried to go along with the flow. However, when they play me like a yo-yo whilst on a roller coaster, all I can do is give myself time. I ground myself and listen to my heart and know that I'm being carried along on angel's wings to the next stage of awareness on my life's journey...

Reiki Attunements ~ Distant or In-Person?

What is the "best" way of learning and receiving a Reiki attunement? The number of times I have heard this question has made me put pen to paper.... well.... fingers to keyboard.... to give an answer.

I have personally had the opportunity of learning Reiki in a small group/class situation, and via distance. Both worked extremely well for me because I felt a connection with each of my teachers. I also teach in both these methods, depending on what works best for each of my students.

I'm not going to tell you what is best, because what's best for one person is very different from what's best for another. When it comes to Reiki energy, it flows with love and intent. The more it is practiced, the more you will notice the energy and as there is no right or wrong way to send healing love and energy, there can be no right or wrong way to learn how to channel it.

First of all, energy flows just as well via distance as it does in-person, so at least we can rule that out as a deciding factor on how you wish to learn.

Energy is something that is already within each of us. To learn Reiki is to bring out this energy so that we can channel it to bring healing to ourselves and others. Some people are faster learners than others, so it is perfectly natural for some to learn the different degrees of Reiki at a faster pace. You should never feel pressured to learn Reiki at a pace other than what suits you. You will know what feels right for you and you will know whether you are happy to stay with Reiki 1, or progress to Reiki 2 and further.

The main thing is to find the right teacher for you. When you have the right connection with a teacher, you can't go wrong. Look around, ask questions and go with your gut feeling.

Think about whether you would like to learn with other students, or whether you would prefer one-on-one training. Both of these options are available to you in an in-person class. In-person training is where you physically go to a class and meet with your teacher. You will receive your attunement and be able to share hands-on treatments with other students or the teacher (if a one-on-one class). You will also receive a detailed training manual with all the information you need for practicing in your own time, on yourself, family and friends.

If you find the teacher you want, but they are based too far away, or just if you prefer to learn privately in the comfort of your own home, you can still learn Reiki via distance. Distant Reiki training can be just as fulfilling as in-person training if you have a teacher who gives you the personal attention you require. You will receive a detailed training manual, usually in PDF format, or by mail. After reading through the manual, you ask your teacher any questions about the course. When your questions are answered to your satisfaction, you will receive your attunement, via distance, at a time that suits you. Using the information in your manual and the guidance of your teacher (by email, or phone) you then practice on yourself, family and friends. A good teacher will always be available to you, to give guidance throughout your practice and for as long as you need.

Reiki is a wonderful healing energy that is readily available for all to learn. No matter which method of learning you choose, the most important thing to remember is to choose a Reiki Master who offers their students the on-going support you would expect and deserve to receive.

Learning Reiki can certainly change your life. I love Reiki and all that it stands for. I use it in every part of my life and I hope to carry on sharing its healing power with many for a very long time to come.

Light & Love ~ My Life's Work

I work with Light and Love because that is how I am guided. It has become part of everything I do. When you feel Light and Love in your heart, it becomes the very essence of your being. You become Light and Love and it will resonate all around you.

Over the years of working with Reiki energy in my healing practice and jewellery creations, I have felt the Light and Love increase in all that I do. I am more intuitive and spiritually aware and very much experiencing a transition to new Light energy. For a little while now, I have also been doing more courses and getting myself attuned to more Loving and healing energies. Each and every one of these courses and attunements have confirmed what I new about being spiritually guided and reinforced the knowledge that I am doing my life's work.

I am in a wonderful place right now and know that it will only continue as I go with the flow and let it gently take me to wherever I'm meant to be.

Kundalini Reiki

I originally became a Reiki Master of the Usui natural system of healing, in 2004. I have really loved working with this energy and have found that my own intuitive abilities opened up enormously from using it.

With much love and gratitude to Alice Langholt of Reiki Awakening, I recently also became a Master of Kundalini Reiki and following, is my experience of being attuned to this wonderful energy healing modality.

For the first attunement I started off by just sitting, closing my eyes and breathing slowly. Quite quickly, I felt slight tingles in my hands and fingers. Then I felt like I was going in and out of a dark tunnel because the light in front of my closed eyes kept changing from dark to light and back again for some time. (This can often happen when I meditate.) After this stopped, I felt slight shivers through my legs and then across my shoulders and some brief light-headedness. Then, my hands and fingers were throbbing / pulsating very strongly. At the end, there was such a powerful energy in my hands that I felt like I would be able to move objects across the room. I actually tried it on my pen (it didn’t move! :)), but I certainly felt an incredibly strong energy. I could also see the energy around my fingers. I brushed my fingers through my aura across the top of my legs and felt the strongest shiver right up through my shoulders. I must add, I have always felt a strong energy through my hands and can often see it, but this was intensified.

The second attunement was taken two days later. Again, I started off by just sitting, closing my eyes and breathing slowly. After a while, I felt a lovely and comforting warmth…. like a small ball of fire… from my base chakra up through my solar plexus. Although still awake and hearing my bamboo chimes outside the window, I felt like I was drifting in and out of a kind of sleep, then received a jolt as if I was being woken up (even though I was still hearing my bamboo chimes). I “saw” the face of a man, with a bushy beard and moustache. Felt slight tingling in my fingers. Then felt a hand over my heart. At the end, I felt very, very sleepy and like there was a hot water bottle inside me.

I received my third and final attunement eleven days after the second attunement. Firstly, I felt as if Angels were surrounding me. I could imagine that if someone had taken a photograph of me, there would have been many orbs around my shoulders and head. I was very relaxed. Then there was a slight pressure in the centre of my forehead which became a tapping sensation. I felt I was being given a message to open up my third eye and as soon as I acknowledged the thought, the tapping stopped. After a while it felt like something heavy had been placed into my hands, like weighted balls, then they were gone. There was a tingling sensation at my crown chakra, like it was opening up quite wide, but it was safe because I felt like I was completely enveloped by a protective bubble of light. It was a very relaxing experience.

Saying Good-bye to a Home

I have moved house, in fact I've actually moved countries, a number of times in my life. Each time, it has been a completion of one phase, whilst moving forward into a new beginning.

Saying good-bye to a home or space is an important part of moving forward. It gives us a sense of completion, allowing us to move on.

The following describes how and why perfectly.....

~ When we move from one residence to another, we often get so caught up in the forward thrust of where we are going that we forget to properly say good-bye to the home we are leaving behind. Yet saying good-bye is an important part of moving forward. It gives us a sense of completion so that we are able to fully inhabit our new space, having left nothing of ourselves behind in the old one. In this way, we honor the space that has held and nurtured us. At the same time, we cleanse it and empty it of our energy so that the new residents can make the space theirs.

Plan a walk through your home that begins and ends at the front door. Ideally, you will be alone or accompanied only by a person who shared the space with you. Prepare yourself mentally to be as present as you can during this process. As you enter the house, you might say, “I have come to thank you for being my home and to say good-bye.” You might touch the walls with your hands as you move through the house, or you might burn sage as an offering, as well as an energy cleanser. Spend some time in each room expressing your gratitude and gathering or releasing any lingering energy from the room. As you do this, you are freeing your home to embrace its new occupants. Remember to visit your outside spaces as well. Plants are especially sensitive to the energy around them and will appreciate your consideration.

As you make your way back to the front door, know that you have completed your final journey through your home and that you have honored and blessed it with this ritual of farewell. As you close and lock the door behind you, say one last good-bye. Now you can walk freely into your future and fully inhabit the new spaces that will keep you safe and warm. ~

This stunning cave of Selenite crystals was first discovered in Naico, Mexico by geologists in 2000. This short video footage shows Professor Iain Stewart, filming for a new BBC series "How the Earth Made Us", walking through the underground chamber which contains some of the largest natural crystals ever found. Embrace and Be Patient With Your Pain!

Lately, I have been prone to more aches, pains and colds that have felt quite severe at times. I’ve even had small accidents and injuries. The only way to deal with them has been to stop everything and pamper myself with a hot bath, sleep, or just a longer time to lie in bed in the morning. I generally try to think of these occurrences as signs that I had been overdoing it and that my mind, body and spirit needed regenerating.

While asking the angels for guidance this morning I was offered some enlightening insight: ~ sometimes these illnesses, traumas and accidents are signs that are warning us that we are not as grounded as we should be. In fact, we may actually be attracting injury or drama to gain personal space. The angels have told me, “Embrace and be patient with your pain.”

So, while I intuitively knew that these were signs, I am learning not to avoid the pain etc, but to accept each moment with grace and know that through it, I will gain wisdom, compassion and strength. I know it will bring insight and understanding and, in time, peace.

Today, someone asked me to send them some of my light.

At first I thought, “how nice, what a lovely compliment”. However I know that if I keep sending my own light to everyone who asks, not only will I start to feel drained, but those people will never learn to shine themselves.

We all have a light within us. For some of us it may be deeper down than for others, but it IS there. Whenever you feel down or hard done by, stop and centre yourself. Take a deep breath and reach inside. Find that special something within your heart called love. Realise that this is you and that you are the only one who can make things happen for you. Joy or sadness, love or hate, strength or weakness ~ these are all things that you and you alone can control within yourself.

So next time you feel like asking someone for their light, first look towards yourself. Reach down deep inside and you will find what you are looking for and when you do, you will see that you, life and everything in it is beautiful.

Go on, shine your light of love, so that it helps others to find theirs too!

Gemstones to Boost Immunity Whilst Fighting Breast Cancer

I’ve been asked recently about suggestions for gemstones that would be most healing for breast cancer.

My first thought jumped immediately to Rose Quartz. This gemstone has an association with self-love and deep inner healing which helps to bring comfort and strength. However, along with Rose Quartz, it would also be beneficial to look for gemstones that protect your health and immune system, especially if going through chemotherapy.

Turquoise enhances the immune system, stimulates the regeneration of tissue, and heals the whole body. It also contains anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects and alleviates pain.

Amethyst is not only a natural tranquiliser relieving stress and strain, fear and anxiety; it also alleviates sadness and grief, and dissolves negativity. It strengthens the immune system and relieves physical, emotional and psychological pain or stress.

Fluorite boosts the immune system and stimulates the regeneration of cells.

Moss Agate speeds up recovery from illness. It is anti-inflammatory and boosts the immune system.

Obviously, these are just a few of many gemstones that can help boost the immune system.

Whenever choosing a gemstone for yourself, for whatever reason, or situation, I would always suggest that you go with the gemstone (or gemstones) that you feel particularly drawn to at the time. I know it can be quite confusing with so many gemstones to choose from, but usually we are drawn to particular gems at different times in our lives when we need the particular energy that the chosen gemstone can give us. If the gemstones you choose feel right, then they are the ones that will work for you.

What is most important to remember when using gemstones for healing, is that the power of healing energy is only as strong as the intent to heal.

Pausing to Drink ~ Tune in to the Beauty!

If you've read some of my blog posts before, you'll know how much I love spending time with nature and how important I think it is to do so. This sums it up beautifully....

Sometimes we go through whole days without really tuning in to the beauty of nature that surrounds us. We have a habit of seeing it without really taking it in, yet once we begin to notice it we treat ourselves to an exquisite realm of subtle, complex scents, miraculous forms, and ethereal light. The natural world enriches our entire being through the vehicles of our senses. When we are low, nature lifts our spirits. When we are tired, it rejuvenates us—if we pause long enough to drink from its beauty. If you have fallen out of the practice of taking time to observe the light as it filters through the leaves of a tree, or the concentric rings a raindrop makes as it plops into a puddle, you can retune yourself by dedicating a day to noticing the beauty in nature.

On this day, one possibility is to rise early enough to see the sunrise. Watching the sky change colors and the world emerge from darkness is an experience that will influence the whole rest of your day in ways that words cannot describe. Or simply observe the quality of the morning light as it infuses the world with its particular pale golden beauty. You may let the light play on your own hand, remembering that you are also part of the natural world. Let your intuition guide you to the elements of nature that call to you throughout the day, such as the sound of the wind as it shakes and sways a tree or the feeling of snowflakes landing on your warm eyelids and cheeks.

After you devote one day to opening your eyes more fully to the beauty of nature, you may want to make this part of your daily routine. Each day drink from the beauty all around you, and allow it to rejuvenate your entire being. All you have to do is pause, for just one minute, and really take it in, remembering to thank Mother Nature for her beauty.

Whenever it snows, my mouth curls up at the corners and paints a big smile across my face. A simple little force of nature and the world suddenly appears different to me.... beautiful, magical, full of wonder!!!

Today, when I sat down in my office and tried to do some work, I looked out the window and saw this ~~ and decided to go and commune with nature for a while.

Now, I have let my inner child out to play, I am happy! How simple was that? :)

That inner child within you is just like the sun. It needs to shine, so make time for it. Let it out to shine for you today and see what joy it will bring!

New Beginnings

Today, as I think back over the last decade, I realise how much I have to be grateful for. I have lived, not only in three different countries over the last ten years, but on three different continents: - the United States of America, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom.

The opportunities for learning have been immense and many of the friendships that have been made are ones that will last. It is true that people and situations come into your life for a reason.... a purpose. The experiences that my family and I have been through this last decade have shaped all of us into who we are. We are ready for the new and exciting times ahead and embrace what is coming our way.

HAPPINESS PANDEMIC (HP101) Hits Worldwide! :D

A Worldwide Epidemic is spreading with enormous speed.

The ‘WWO’ (World-Wellness-Organisation) foresees billions of people becoming infected within the coming decade!

Here are the most prominent symptoms of this wonderful enlivening ‘disease’:

1). The tendency to let yourself be guided by intuition instead of acting under pressure of fear, forced ideas and pre-conditioned behaviour.

2). A total loss of interest in:- judging others, convicting yourself and preoccupation with things that create conflict.

3). A complete loss of the capacity to worry :– This is one of the most serious symptoms!

4). A continual pleasure in appreciating humans and things the way they are, which weakens one’s tendency to want to ‘change’ others.

5). The desire to change oneself so that innate thoughts, feelings, emotions and bodily matters are managed in ways that facilitate only Health, Creativity and Love.

6). Repetitive attacks of smiling – a smile that says “Thank You” and stimulates being at-one with all those around.

7). A growing openness towards childlikeness, simplicity, laughter and happiness.

8). More frequent moments of communication with one’s Soul in non-duality, that in turn creates the pleasant feeling of fulfilment and joy within.

While sitting alone in a quiet place, I enter into the silence for my daily time of meditation. I embrace the peace and serenity within me and around me. If there are noises or disturbances, I am not bothered. I visualize the presence of God within the space. I envision the light of God above me and below me, before me and behind me.

I see myself and those I love in the center of this light, in the midst of God's enfoldment, surrounded by everlasting peace. My body, mind and spirit are quiet and peaceful.

Energy & Patience

I have been noticeably moving forward on my own spiritual path over the last few months. Lately, I have felt another strong build up of energy. I see waves of energy all around and others have told me about the many beautiful colours that they see. I don't see colours and haven't seen actual formed shapes as yet, but again my own guides are telling me, "Patience", so maybe that is coming. What I do have is a really deep direct sensing of someone or something which needs passing on to others. The messages I receive from my guides and Angels are so much stronger now, but what I've noticed more recently is the stronger connection I can find with other people's guides and Angels.

Some weeks ago, I was in the middle of my tai chi class when suddenly, an energy form of a wood nymph stepped out from the wall and started jumping up and down in front of me. This little nymph wouldn’t stop until I told my teacher that he was there for her, then he stood over at my teacher's side and gave me a huge grin. Obviously my teacher hadn't been listening to her guides lately so this lovely little fellow used me to get her attention.

There are more and more of these types of instances happening to me and I do love the connection, however often there can be many messages from many guides trying to be relayed at once and it can get rather foggy. I am learning to ask for the messages one at a time and now it seems I am not only practicing patience for my own growth, but teaching patience as well! :)

I feel I am on the path I'm meant to be and am so grateful to have found it. I love what I do and hope I can continue to grow and help others find their way on their own paths. It has been an enjoyable ride so far and I'm sure it's only going to get bigger and better!

The Time Is Now!

Years ago my watch fell off my wrist at JFK Airport. I was horrified and dragged my poor 3 (then) toddlers all over the airport looking for it. Well, what was I going to do without my watch? I needed it so I wouldn't be late to anything and possibly miss something important! How could I possibly go on without knowing how long I had before I had to be somewhere else or how long before I arrived at my next destination etc... etc... etc...

Wow! I look back at those days now and think that losing my watch was one of the best things that ever happened to me. Why? You may well ask.

Without a watch I have learned to appreciate what I am doing in the "now". I have learnt to make the most of and really enjoy what I am doing, rather than focusing or even worrying about how much longer I may have to do it. Sure, there are still schedules I have to be aware of but I find so much more gets done now and I get so much more out of what I do. When I wore a watch I was always glancing at it, taking my attention away from who I was with or what I was doing, afraid that I would miss my next appointment when in fact, what I was really missing was the experience I was currently having. I was never fully there.

I have never again worn a watch and today, I can honestly say that I fully experience the "now" of everything I do. I live in the present as that is all there really is.

What is the time? The time is now!!

an appearance in bodily form (as of a disembodied spirit)
expression without words; "tears are an expression of grief"; "the pulse is a reflection of the heart's condition"
a public display of group feelings (usually of a political nature); "there were violent demonstrations against the war"

If you use your energy thoughts well, you have the power to manifest whatever you wish. Yes, it's all about energy and the power of the mind! We attract into our lives, whatever we think about. That IS manifestation!

When you use the power of the mind in this way, it is important to let the intention manifest itself. If you think too much about how something will manifest, you are interfering with the intention and therefore limiting its process and possibly the end result. Allow the energy to flow and let the Universe do its work. All you need to do is to focus on what you envision and be open to signs and opportunities that come your way that will help manifest that intention into being.

Stay positive in your thoughts. If you think about what you don't want, the energy has to start with just that - what you don't want. For example: when a child climbs up a high tree, you will often hear a parent call out, "Don't fall!" To not fall, that child must think about actually falling, so that they can turn that thought around and not do it! To focus the energy in a better way, it is much better to say, "Hold on tight!" Think about it.....

Think in the now. Become the person you want to be. Believe you can make things happen. Rely on your own energy to manifest your dreams. Be a happy person. When you are happy, your vibration is in a state of receiving which makes it much easier for the Universe to deliver. A happy person is a positive one who has the type of energy to create anything they want.

The Power of the Mind!

Your thoughts are extremely powerful energy forms. Be careful what you think......

When I was 12 years old, I convinced my mother that I had a terrible stomach ache just to get out of going to school. That was the day of the compulsory cross-country fun run and I couldn't (and still don't) understand how the words "fun" and "run" could be put into the same sentence together! Anyway, my mother allowed me to stay at home and throughout the morning I would make the right moans and groans of someone in pain. After a little while my mother asked me to quit making noises as she knew I had been faking it. By lunch time though my stomach really was aching and I started moaning with pain, but she didn't believe me.... until 5:00pm that afternoon when she could see that I was serious and took me to the doctor. By 6:00pm I was in hospital having an emergency appendectomy!!!

I had thought about having a stomach ache for so long that I actually brought on a serious case of appendicitis! Never under-estimate the incredible power of the mind!!

• If you think you aren't capable of doing something you probably won't be able to do it.
• If you think you're going to get sick you probably will.
• If you think you're going to be sad for the rest of your life you probably will.

Can you see a pattern here? Now turn all this around and start using those thoughts in a positive way. Having positive thoughts will enable you to become a positive person and that energy will spill over into everything you do and to everyone around you.

Start thinking, "Sunshine, Smiles, Healthy, Love ........." and see the difference! :)

Balancing Energy

As an energy worker it is often expected that advice be given freely to anyone and everyone whenever the opportunity arises. Let's face it, we intuitively know (or can work out) what to do or how to handle certain situations so why not just hand it out when asked. Because we are who we are, we usually do this without a second thought.

However, it's important to remember, that as an energy worker - (as for anyone in any type of job) - we need a balance of energy ourselves to be able to keep offering the best of our skills to others. If we keep giving to all, without return, an imbalance takes place. This creates feelings of tiredness and subconcious thought patterns of being taken for granted which start to creep into everyday life.

Other people do their jobs with a return on the specific skills that they bring to those jobs. This return brings an energy balance into play which naturally evens out on both sides. They have "given" in their work and then "received" in payment for their work. This is a balanced exchange of energy.

Our work should also be treated this way. When we "give" by using our skills to help others, it is important to also "receive" in payment for the use of those skills. It is only when that exchange of energy stays balanced that we all get the full benefits and rewards that those skills can offer.

Charms Of Light - Healing

Years ago, when I originally started the Charms Of Light business, I was thinking about combining healing & beauty together. Healing with gemstones created into beautiful jewellery seemed the perfect idea. The name "Charms Of Light" popped into my head at the time and it just felt so right, as every piece of jewellery I create is made with love and an intent to heal, therefore they are all "Charms Of Light"! I openly thank my Angels for giving me the name to work with. :)

As time has moved on, I have had the honour and opportunity to create these Charms Of Light for many different people. The experience has helped me to grow, just as much as I have helped others and I thank each and every person along the way, for the part they have played. My business has grown, offering not only healing jewellery but healing gifts as well, while Reiki and Distant healing on an intuitive level are very much part of what Charms Of Light is now all about.

As I move forward in my journey with Charms Of Light, I believe it is time to branch out further and offer ways of teaching others to heal themselves. Healing workshops are now being planned for one-on-one, as well as group sessions. I am excited about these workshops and look forward to working with more people, helping to guide them to natural healing with positive energy.

When Imitation is not Flattery!

I work hard at what I do and find much satisfaction from the achievements I have made. My business is growing and I thank past, present and future customers & clients for helping me to touch so many lives across the different aspects of the Charms Of Light business.

Because I work so hard and am honest in all I do, it upsets me a great deal when I come across something that is immoral. Yesterday, I was surfing the web and came across another website that sells jewellery. I was astonished to see that they were using my photograph of an Amethyst bracelet that I created for my own website. They were using this to sell their company and its jewellery products. Not only that, they were also using exact words taken from the homepage of my website to extol the virtues of their own jewellery.

In the jewellery industry, you often find other companies selling designs similar to your own but you don't expect them to be using your own photo of one of your own creations! Some will say, that imitation is a form of flattery but this also hurts!

It is an outright infringement of copyright laws and is illegal!

Recycled Fashion

I am a big fan of recycling. Not only does it save money, but it is also good for the environment. Even when I was a fashion designer (before my children came along), I would happily recycle scarves and turn them into skirts etc. Nowadays, my daughter turns old skirts into new fashion items all the time, keeping her unique style within a very economical budget. However, when a friend sent me this picture the other day, I couldn't help but wonder whether it's about time for someone to draw a line on how clothes should be recycled!

Take a closer look. Men's underwear with the crotch cut out and turned into a top. This is either recycling at its best, or its very worst!

Spread the Sunshine!

We all have thoughts that come over us with such strong intention that they can often surprise us. These are often just ideas of how we are feeling at the time, or sometimes they can be a few positive (or not so positive) words! When these thoughts, or ideas, are written down or spoken, they become much more powerful than if they are kept to yourself.

For example, yesterday was as normal a day as any. I did some work & a few other things, then felt a surge of positivity come over me. I felt pleased with myself, confident & very positive. It is not unusual for me to feel this way but it was so strong I needed to share, so wrote down the following few words on twitter & facebook, "I am feeling good. Positive energy is around me. I AM the energy! :)"

This statement was obviously so meaningful that it was retweeted a number of times and I received quite a few messages from people about how good it made them feel. I hadn't intended to write a quote or put a particular message out there for others to follow, it was just my own feelings at the time. What a powerful message it sent back to me though.

When you are feeling good or are enjoying the sunlight on your face - let others know, because it is certain to make them feel it too. We all have the power to raise the spirits of others, so let's keep sharing those positive thoughts and feelings.

Happy Times

Some of my happiest times are spent with family. I have just come back from a lovely holiday in Les Gets (French Alps). We stayed in a chalet run by Jim & Cat of Pure Mountain Holidays for a week of fresh air and relaxation.

Our days were filled with walks, drives & picnics by lakes and on mountain tops. A wonderful time spent together away from the day to day hustle & bustle of work, school etc. etc....

Some time ago, I wrote about living life as it comes. Well, this holiday was no different. We didn't plan anything, just went with the flow and made the most of whatever opportunities came our way.... How many families can say they spent one afternoon playing Monopoly together and the next jumping off the top of a mountain seeing magnificent views of a snow covered Mont Blanc as well as Lake Geneva whilst para-gliding back down?

OK, so the holiday wasn't ALL relaxation - but how can you turn down the chance of that type of exhilaration when it is put in front of you? When something like this is shared, it becomes so much more worthwhile. Memories of smiles are made of times like these with family and we are all much closer because of them.

Life really is a beautiful adventure - make the most of every minute - preferably shared! :)

Are you living a positive life? Do you think positive thoughts? Do you see the good in others? Are you happy?
If a resounding, "YES", is the answer, then I congratulate you! Keep on doing whatever you do because life can only be great! If the answer is anything else, then you need to think about what you can change to create a more positive outlook.

I have written before about Affirmations and why they should be positive. Now I want you to think about just BEING positive and how it really can change the way you feel about - well - everything!

The more I work with healing energy, the more positive I feel. My life has certainly been full of its ups and downs, just like anyone else's over the years, but I have found that working with energy has helped me become a much more positive person. The more positive I become, the more I feel the energy and so it becomes a beautiful healing circle!

Here are some ways to remain more positive in your own life:

SMILE - It really does make a difference to how you feel, not to mention what it can do for others who see it!

Surround yourself with upbeat people - Mixing with others who are friendly, positive and loving can only help you have those feelings yourself.

Create a beautiful place to spend time in - Whether its a small patch of grass under your favourite tree, or a comfy chair in your living room. Spend a little time in this place every day to recharge and just be.

Be thankful - When you find something to be thankful for every day, you create loving feelings and positive energy for yourself.

Think "Happy" - When your thoughts are happy you become happy. It makes you smile. When you smile with real happiness, it lets the sunshine into your heart and spreads as love.

BE POSITIVE. BE HAPPY. BE SUNSHINE. BE LOVE.

What is your current obsession?
Ooh, I have to do Qi Gong every day and will always finish it off with Tai Chi. I'm also heavily into learning the principle moves of Nia dance, which incorporates three healing arts moves, three martial arts moves and three dance arts moves. Anything to do with mind, body & spirit!

What is your greatest achievement?
The obvious answer to this is my three incredible children. They make me proud every day!

Coffee or Tea?
I just love my cup of tea in the morning. I always use fresh tea leaves & usually start the day with a 50/50 mix of English Breakfast with Earl Grey. Yum! Then I love my herbal teas throughout the day too.

What’s for dinner?
Tonight I'm marinating some organic chicken wings and will serve them with brown rice and a stir fry of garlic with rainbow chard - fresh from the organic veggie & fruit box that I get delivered every week.

What have you just made?
I've just finished this necklace with Angelite coins & Hematite rice beads. I like the angelic energy connection of Angelite with the grounding force of Hematite. It's a new addition for the Charms Of Light collection, but I might keep one for myself too! :)

What are you listening to right now?
At this minute (while answering these questions), I'm listening to my middle child (son) playing his guitar. He writes his own music and I am his number one fan! :)

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Chocolate.

What do you think of the person who tagged you?
I've only recently "met" this very lovely lady. I think she is a lovely soul with a beautiful creative talent as well.

If you could go anywhere in the world for the next hour, where would you go?
I would definitely be sailing around the Greek Islands, but an hour is not going to be enough!

Which language do you want to learn?
I'm already pretty good at Australian, English & American - lol - actually, you'd be surprised how different these languages are. Having lived in all three of these countries, I learnt pretty quickly that it really isn't just an accent thing! I also speak almost fluent Bahasa Melayu from living in Malaysia, but that wasn't the question, was it! I would like to learn Spanish next.

What’s your favorite quote (for now)?
I'm not going to give you a famous quote, I'm going to give you a couple - one by a new friend and one of my own.

What is your favorite colour?
I've always been drawn to deep blues, but I do like most colours. I believe colours to be a very important part of healing - there is so much energy in them.

What is your dream job?
I'm doing it! To be surrounded by the healing energies of gemstones every day and to create special jewellery pieces for my customers is something I absolutely love doing. To help bring healing energy & harmony to people brings me so much joy and fulfillment, I can't really put it into words - or maybe I just did!

Do you admire anyone’s style?
By style, does this question mean in a fashion sense? Because there really isn't anyone I can think of that makes me go, "Ooh, wow, I have to get what she or he is wearing!"

Describe your personal style?
Hmmm! My own personal style is casual/comfortable. I don't go for what is so called "in fashion", because I feel that if you wear something that suits you, it will be fashionable. Too many times, I've seen people make the mistake of wearing, say, a mini skirt - "because it's the fashion" - when the legs are actually saying, "cover us up, we're too big to be out here!" Then again, I often greet my poor postman in pj's and froggy slippers! lol :D

What are you going to do after this?
Probably go out and get some fashionable slippers! lol ;)

What is your favorite fruit?
It used to be fresh mango, but I haven't had a really nice one since I left Australia. I discovered mangosteens in Malaysia, although they are nothing like mangos. They are more like a passionfruit on the outside, with small white segments of sweet juicy flesh inside. I had cravings for mandarins when I was pregnant with each of my kids. Yesterday I had the most delicious white nectarine!

What inspires you?
People who smile. Angels, music, laughter, love. Life!

Your favorite book?
I read a lot of biographies and have been known to enjoy the odd historical novel. To pick a favourite book is impossible. Although, one of the latest books that I thoroughly enjoyed was "Only Love Is Real" by Dr Brian Weiss. Dr Weiss is a psychiatrist and past-life therapist and this story is about two of his patients who were soulmates reunited. Definitely a good read for opening your mind.

Your favourite film?
Again, I can't choose a favourite film. When I was younger I just loved horror films, but can't and don't want to go near them anymore. Now I enjoy romantic comedies, anything that makes me smile.

Do you collect something?
I used to collect shells when I was young. I'd keep them in big old ice-cream containers and then thread them together into windchimes and necklaces. I've been collecting gemstones for years - I love their energy around me. Lately though, I've been collecting grey hairs! lol :)

What is your favorite smell?
Definitely fresh rain after a warm day. Nothing beats that, except the fresh rain on my home-grown herbs. Mmmm - lovely! Oh - honeysuckle and lavender. Frankincense and Sandlewood incense. The top of my son's heads when they were very small....... :))

What are you most proud of?
Other than my family of course - my ability to smile no matter what life throws at me! :)

How many times do you press the snooze button before you get up?
I don't use an alarm in the morning. I'm either awake with the light, or by the snoring beside me! ;)

Cats or dogs?
To be honest, I'm not much of a fan. When I was young, I was chased and bitten by a big black dog - have never really gotten over the experience. I love watching animals in their natural habitat though.

What’s your biggest fashion mistake?
Getting my hair permed and dyed blonde! Oh dear, to be reminded of that gives me a definite chill. That was just so wrong!

Healing Properties of Hematite

I was recently asked a question about Hematite and whether its antiferromagnetic property would be helpful to human EMF health, so felt I would re-write the healing properties of this stone. These are my own interpretations of the energies that I personally feel, as well as from the book, "Love Is In The Earth - A Kaleidoscope Of Crystals" by Melody.

Hematite, also spelled Haematite, is the mineral form of Iron Oxide.

It is linked to the Base Chakra and has associations with the zodiac signs of Aries and Aquarius. Its typical colours are black to steel or silver-grey, brown to reddish brown, or red.

Hematite grounds and protects us. It strengthens our connection with the earth, making us feel safe and secure. It endows us with courage, strength, endurance and vitality. A "stone for the mind", Hematite stimulates concentration and focus, enhancing memory and original thought.

Hematite utilises the magnetic qualities of our yin-yang energies to balance the meridians within the body and to provide a stable equilibrium between the ethereal nervous system and the physical nervous system. It focuses energy and emotions for balance between the body, mind and spirit.

Dissolves negativity and prevents you from absorbing the negativity of others. Haematite is strong, supporting timidity, boosting self-esteem and survivability, enhancing willpower and reliability, and imparting confidence. It helps to overcome compulsions and addictions, treating overeating, smoking and other forms of overindulgence.

Haematite restores, strengthens and regulates the blood supply, aiding blood conditions such as anaemia. It supports the kidneys and regenerates tissue. Stimulates the absorption of iron and formation of red blood cells. Treats leg cramps, anxiety and insomnia. Hematite aids spinal alignment and fractures.

Now, getting back to the original question about Hematite and EMF health, I can really only say that, from my own use, I do feel less affected by EMFs when I am wearing Hematite jewellery, or have a piece of Hematite somewhere within my aura, - eg: a tumblestone in my pocket.

I do also use other stones that are particularly good at protecting against EMFs, but I think that will be another post in the not too distant future.......

Just For Today ........

Since I began my Reiki journey, I have realised the importance of "living for today" much more than I ever did before. Too many of us get caught up with little worries that are part of our daily lives, always something to do or think about or plan etc. etc....... We can got so bogged down that we forget about what is going on around us at the time - the actual day to day living that we should be making the most of. Let's face it - once today is gone, we can never get it back!

This is where the Reiki principles come into play. They are the Reiki ideals, as set by the founder, Dr Mikao Usui. I would like to share them with you.

Just for today.....

Just for today, I will let go of anger.

Just for today, I will let go of worry.

Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.

Just for today, I will do my work honestly.

Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.

Try it - "just for today" - let go - give thanks - be kind......

You will start to feel more relaxed and able to enjoy each day, each moment, of your life.

PS: What is the point of crying over spilt milk, or broken eggs!
I was baking the other day and needed just 3 egg whites. It was a day where I had lots to do and was feeling the pressure. I lost count how many eggs I cracked before I could get just the whites and thought...... "Just for today, I will not worry about how many eggs I crack to get 3 whites!" Made me loosen up and feel better about all the other stuff I had to do too! :)

The Healing Power of Kyanite

Kyanite, beautiful Kyanite. I am magnetically drawn to this amazing stone at the moment. It is one of the most magical gemstones around. I love its silvery blue-grey colouring and the iridescence is breathtaking. Kyanite is a gemstone with a quality of radiance unlike any other.

Kyanite is an excellent stone for meditation and attunement. It will not retain negative vibrations or energy, therefore never requiring clearing. Feeling the Energy

There is a huge shift in energy going on and I somehow feel that I am being gently, but determinedly, nudged along a path towards something bigger.... something important.... but can't quite yet understand just what.

My mind has been filled with bubbles of light and anticipation. I have been floating around on a high of being at one with the moment and letting things just flow over and around me. I feel a closeness with my Angels that I didn't feel before, their love surrounding me & lifting me above normal day to day activities. It feels I should just be going with the flow, so I do!

There is a huge awakening of my inner self and whilst I love the feel of floating, I am being told it is important to be grounded. What I can't seem to explain is that I am not only feeling the energy, but am now seeing it. It's like waves or currents of electricity that are flowing and flashing around. There are no colours - yet - but they are full of patterns and vibrations that seem to want to connect. It is magnetic - yet they also repel, like positive & negative poles.

My intuition tells me that this energy is all for the good and for now, I am learning a great deal about patience. When the time is right, I will be ready!

Affirmations

I like to start my day with an affirmation. What is an affirmation? To me, an affirmation is a positive statement of the truth that I wish to be. The thesaurus says an affirmation is a "declaration of the truth of something". - Well, that's pretty close, isn't it!

Affirmations must focus on the present and be positive. Negativity needs to be eliminated and you must believe that you can do it. Just wishing something to be a certain way, or to happen, isn't enough. You need to see that idea in the present for it to be that way, otherwise it will always remain in the future, as just "a wish". For example: "One day I will be happy" - is wishing to be happy one day in the future. It is likely to stay in the future if that is where your focus is. "I am happy" - is focusing on the now.

Affirmations are extremely helpful in changing your attitude or outlook and for bringing forward a more successful life, both personally and professionally.

As I can be impatient at times, my patience affirmation for today is: "All things happen at the perfect time".

Being Green

The last couple of days has seen my sales in green gemstones fly way above anything I can imagine! Moss Agate & Aventurine are just so popular that I can't help but look beyond and try to figure out just why.

When I think about the energies & shifts I've been feeling lately, it comes as no surprise that green is popular. The colour green is related to our heart chakra. It is for balance, growth & calming. Green helps all conditions that are aggravated by our emotions.

Green soothes and balances our energies. It helps to encourage our compassion, sensitivity and self-acceptance. It has a calming effect and is soothing to the nervous system. Green awakens greater friendliness, hope, faith and peace. It is associated with gratitude and material expansion. Spiritually, it encourages trust in the process of growth.

Moss Agate is a stone of new beginnings. Among other things, it refreshes the soul and enables you to see beauty in all you behold. It encourages trust and hope. Moss Agate reduces sensitivity to weather and environmental pollutants.

Aventurine is a comforter and heart healer. It promotes compassion and empathy. Aventurine protects against environmental pollution.

There's a definite theme going on here..... Can you see it? More people are "going green". We are thinking of our environment, the world in which we live. Love and caring for ourselves and everything around us.

Meditation Monday

I've been tweeting on twitter for a few months now and am constantly amazed at the flow of love & support that is shared. It is an incredible community and I am really enjoying the new friendships that I have made and am still making there.

Most of my new friendships are with other spiritual souls like myself and one of them came up with the idea of Meditation Monday. It is a time, once a week, where at 8:30pm in our local timezones, we all meditate in whichever way is comfortable for ourselves.

Meditation doesn't just calm & centre yourself, it is something that spreads out of you and into the universe. Imagine, if we all did this together. What a beautiful wave of love and kindness could be spread around our wonderful world.
